ADVANCED VEHICLE DRIVER ASSISTANT SYSTEM FOR COLLSIION AVOIDANCE

Vehicle Safety features are designed
to avoid collisions and accidents by offering technologies that alert the
driver to potential problems. This project is addressing an advanced vehicle assistant
system (AVAS) by integrating RADAR, IR sensor units and GPS location finder
applications. The main aim of this project is to assess the driver by
intimating the left and right side postures of the vehicle and also alerting
the driver during critical touching to the vehicle before to it. This proposed
technique implemented with RADAR system that continuously transmitting a low
frequency signal and according to the RADAR principle it is easy to find out
the distance between the RADAR source to the obstacle. So the same principle is
applied here to intimate the driver when the vehicle exceeds the predefined
threshold distance between the vehicle and the vehicle before to it. The system
also handling the left & right side posture monitoring in order to avoid
the collisions and this is designed with the two IR sensors on the two sides.
This proposed system is locating the accident spot with the help of GPS
location finder and sending the location information to predefined person ie.
May be a family member, as an urgent.
